Camaradas,
Quiero aclarar algunos puntos sobre la propuesta que se presentó a la asamblea del 5 de agosto pasado.
En primer lugar, todos los miembros de la organización tienen el derecho a presentar las propuestas que le parezcan oportunas para el debate, derecho que también me corresponde.
Pero también tienen el derecho a defenderlas cuando se malinterpretan como es el caso del compañero Henryjames.
En esa propuesta, se expone claramente que todas las actuaciones que se realicen serán sólo después de un PROFUNDO debate sobre las temas en cuestión. Es decir que si a lo largo de ese debate, la posición que defiende que no se apoye a tal o cual movimiento, o que que no se haga ninguna movilización tiene el apoyo de los camaradas....esa seria la línea de actuación del grupo, poniendo por encima de todo el sistema democrático sobre cualquier imposición de cualquier índole.
De ninguna manera ha sido la intención de presionar o imponer nada. Esta propuesta sólo pretende activar el debate político. Y por supuesto, todos esos puntos que se están planteando sobre la resistencia en Irak, la Revolución Bolivariana, o el movimiento de las APPOS, no los voy a discutir ahora porque son precisamente el material que precisamos para debatir en las reuniones programadas.
(Por cierto, y dicho sea de paso, hace unos meses colgué un articulo sobre la posición marxista ante la situación en Irak en esta misma página, y no veo que James haya ni siquiera contestado., exponiendo sus ideas).
Hubiera sido de muy mala fe de mi parte, aprovechar la inclusión de las posibles actividades en el texto del programa para exigir que se hagan porque se ha votado en conjunto. Eso, si se entiende así, por supuesto que significaría una actuación burocratica. Pero no es el caso, ni mi estilo. Sólo son conjeturas y prejuicios, quizás hasta pueden ser debidos a la mala formulación que he podido hacer de ello o a la dificultad de la traducción del idioma.
Ayer, expliqué a los camaradas presentes esto, pero en el caso que haya quedado alguna duda, estoy a su disposición para aclararselas y tambien quiero decir que en ningun momento de la charla exprese que la culpa la tuvieran los camaradas por no entender la propuesta, y eso se puede comprobar fácilmente ya que tanto James como yo, tenemos toda la charla archivada, y la podemos dar a conocer a los camaradas que lo deseen.
También le pido disculpas a Henryjames si lo he lastimado en el transcurso de la charla, pero el hecho de que sin casi escucharme me tachara de burócrata y pequeña burguesa delante los camaradas, quizás me haya hecho perder la compostura en algún momento.
Ahora, también quisiera aclarar algunos conceptos : en el acta fundacional del CPSL, está reflejada la línea a desarrollar dentro de SL, que es el “promocionar y difundir las ideas marxistas”. El marxismo, no es un dogma cerrado y estático, es una filosofía cuya herramienta y método, es el materialismo dialéctico cuya principal premisa dice que todo está en constante movimiento, y que cada cosa tiene su contrario en ella misma. Al proponer que en CPSL se lleve a cabo un método marxista no estoy sino aplicando los propios conceptos ya integrados en los estatutos del CPSL. Para despejar sus dudas sobre esto, los camaradas pueden leerlo.
También me parece importante explicar el significado del TROTSKISMO, es ni más ni menos que la linea de OPOSICIÓN DE IZQUIERDA liderada por Trotsky en contra del ESTALINISMO , que Trotsky denunció desde el principo como una degeneracíon burocrática del comunismo. Pero como todo marxistas, también estudiamos los textos de Marx, Engels, Rosa Luxemburg, Gramsci, Preobrazhenski, y muchos otros.
Como conclusión , destacaré que las acusaciones que hace James sobre mi supuesto sectarismo pequeño burgués y burocrático, evidentemente no están fundamentadas por las actuaciones mías.
Cuando llegué a CPSL, él ya tenía la intención de formar una fracción. Al no saber la causa, le pregunté, y me dijo que era por discrepancias con otros miembros de CPSL que yo ni siquiera conocía, en los mismos términos que los de esta carta del 6 de agosto. Recuerdo, que le dije que esa no era una solución y que el método correcto es exponer las ideas a todos los camaradas y abrir un debate, de ahí viene mi iniciativa a proponer esta agenda.
De la misma forma, hay que recordar que en la primera asamblea que hubo, insistí en proponer a James para que integre el Comité de Organización, a lo que se negó una y otra vez. Ahí estan las actas de la reunión para demostrarlo. Y por último, antes de esta última reunión, Boz y yo decidimos proponer a los camaradas que James fuera el chairman, teniendo en cuenta que con esa responsabilidad le correspondía ese voto de calidad que fue propuesta de él mismo en la segunda asamblea y que se aprobó también...es decir que hasta ahora, todas las propuestas que James planteó en las asambleas, las apoyé con mi voto, porque me parecieron correctas a mi forma de ver, sin ningun tipo de sectarismo....(por contra, en el primer miting, voté en contra de la propuesta de KEKS, que curiosamente es Trotskista!)
Es esa una actitud sectaria? Es esa la manera de imponer ideas trotskistas? De querer eliminar “oponentes políticos”, como pretende hacer creer Henryjames?
Ningún camarada podrá decir que en algún momento lo he predispuesto en contra de James, o contra cualquier otra persona; en todas las charlas individuales que he mantenido con los camaradas, siempre he defendido la idea de aunar todas las sensibilidades, y de debatir los temas para encontrar puntos de acuerdos donde poder trabajar juntos.
Vuelvo hoy con toda humildad, a reiterar esa idea, invitando al camarada James que reconsidere su posición y que convoque él mismo una reunión donde poder limar esas asperezas, y poner en marcha de alguna forma la actividad del CPSL, que por todo esto está paralizada.

Tasks for the organising committé
As we are a relative small group in comparsemnt with other we need to grow, we need to be a movement.
My first suggestion is that we should have greeters for new members at the welcome zone to aware the people of our pressence. Answer typical questions that new members have and be a welcoming hand and maybe direct them to the HQ. Offer them t-shirts and so on.
My other suggestion is that we hang out where there are predominilty workers i.e. different subcultures that has a close connection to the working-class, motorsports, hard rock, hip hop and what have you.
The reason for it is because we don't want to end up as a regluar RL lefties organisation that so many times are dominated by non-workers. We don't want to organise just your typical leftie but the working-class.
That is also why I think the committies of the CPSL needs to be dominated by RL workers to the extent that it's possiable. This is because we want to show the workers that we can have power amongst our own organisations that it don't have to be a middleclass leadership.
HenryJames is at the moment working on workersclothes to be either sold cheap or given away for free to promote working-class pride because as workers we are proud of our work and the connection to workers clothes on SL would give them that sence of pride.
A document will be attached to the clothes package declaring working-class pride and landmark to our HQ.
We might not get them all but we plants seeds that may one day blossom.
As Marx once put it:
The liberation of the working-class must be by their own doing.
Let's remember that.

Suggestions on meeting structure.
Since the last meeting took place alot of things has happend due to the meeting and lack of structure. At least in my view that was one of the majorproblems.
So my propasal is as follows:
Meeeting structure:
Every meeting should elect a chairman and a secretary.
The secretary to keep notes and the chairman to keep the order of the meeting. The secratary may also brief late particpants on what have been discussed and decided, doing so in an IM.
The chairmans job is to hand out premition to speak amongst the participants of the meeting.
Before speaking every participant must first call out his or her name and may not speak until the chairman says so, even during a heated argument.
When calling out their name chairman and secretary notes the person calling out said name and will be put on speakerslist.
This is to avoid meaningless chatter and chaos. This is also the most democratic way since everybody will have a chance to say what they want without interruptions.
when the discussion is ended the chairman will ask if the meeting is ready to move on to a dission, if the meeting is not ready the chairman will let the discussion move on.
Any participant may at any time call for "end of discussion". The chairman will then ask the meeting if we may end this discussion. This means that nobody else can put their name on the speakerslist, the list will be final. Everybody that is already on the list may however speak.
On dissions
Every dission should be put against another dission. The only opition to vote will be "yes".
The chairman will ask the meeting "shall we support x proposition" and those who agree will vote yes then the chairman will ask "sall we support y proposition" and those in favor of that proposion may vote yes, the suggestion with most votes wins. If there is more then one proposition then the first to proposion goes one round, the winning one will be put forward to the third one til there is only one left and that will be the final dission.
On protocals
Every protocal should have a list of these things:

On election to committies
When electing people to a board or to a comittie there must be an election committie that has prepared list on names. People on the election committie can not at the sametime be a member of the Central Committie nor candidate for it.
When electing people to the central committie, in our case the building and organising committie there will first be a debate where you can suggest your candidate but not badmouth others.
This is to keep up a good spirit.
On the election itself there will be one votecounter, in normal cases there are more then one but due to techinal issues this would be the best solution. The vote will be secret so everybody will IM the votecounter. If you like the list of people just send an IM saying "I'm ok with the list" if not mention the name of the candidate you want and one candidate who you want stricken of the list. Because somebody has to go so there will be an even number so there wont be a "bonus" candidate.
The votecounter can of course not be a member of the CC but may be a member of the election committie.
Following these rules meetings will go along much smoother, faster and most important more democraticly. The alternative to these rules are chaos, anarchy and unclear dissions. I urge you people to really consider these rules they have been functioning for ages, same rules for communist as socialdemocrats to trade-unions and even syndicalists. They work and they ensure democracy.

Breaking the Linden's game
The following article was posted by comrade Ilia Milev, and reflect the personal opinions of the submitter, not the whole membership of CPSL
Dear comrades
I think that we must to attack on one the central ideas of Linden's creation due to its capitalist conception: this concept is land property and the speculation derived from. This is an atempt against basical rights, including the freedom of movement, and an atempt in fact against the possibilities for making real new world in Second Life. So , the first thing that could be done is to shift lefty organizations on travelling HQ organizations
If we become travelling I firmly believe that we can win more popularity: Most of the people will not come if they see the hammer and the sickle in a building (it's sad but it's true). Anyway on the midle of any SL street if the people listen our discussion maybe someone can be interested, more probably some no communsit people would be awared and he/she would come to talk with us.
We can remember the sentence of Proudhon that was defenced by Karls Marx on the "Holy Family" : "What is private property? a robbery". Well, we can extend the concept lying on this sentence avoiding land properties for the group. In fact, land is a burgeois property that we don't realy need. Of course, we don't realy practice a private porperty by itself. But due to the attackcs we can end the history satcking many fences around our Hq's,. I n the other hand, avoiding to be land owners we can save efforts and money. Of course this doesn't suggest the possibility to obliggate to any IA avatar to leave his/her land and houses. I'm speaking to do that over HQ as an exampel for every body.
The houses, the pictures and the symbols are just this nothing than symbols. What is realy important are the ideas and the facts.
May be I will become unpopular, may be you can think I am a fool, may be it's not SL-like this way to proceed. But I think that it's a way to be revolutionary, and with this exemple, a way to force Linden that the HQ for organizations was free and protected from attacks. Also would can suggest that there wasn't specualtion, nor increasing he grid just for selling land.
Of course this is a proposal, an idea, I'm not more than the others comrades and of course my advice is not binding to any decission, hehe!.

Astonishing news
To our astonishment, we discovered that the just democratically elected committee-member Hug Yue left the party without any notice or justification. Hug took chair in both committees after he had put himself to the front during the meeting and got elected. Ex-comrade Hug Yue has, due to his untrustworthy behaviour towards the membership, been banned from the land of CPSL and will not be allowed to become member anymore. More info will follow concerning the committees.

Proposals for Upcoming CPSL Membership Meeting
The following are three proposals submitted by HenryJames Milestone to the upcoming membership meeting of the CPSL on June 24. Any proposals for amendments can be sent to him at comleague@gmail.com.
Resolution on CPSL Central Administration
1. The CPSL establishes two democratically-elected bodies to serve as the central coordination and administration of the party: the Building Committee and the Organizing Committee.
2. The Building Committee is responsible for administration and maintenance of the land and party HQ. Building Committee members must also be members of the CPSL Fund Committee, a separate entity.
3. The Organizing Committee is responsible for the administration and coordination of the party. Organizing Committee members must be members in good standing in the CPSL.
4. There will be three members on each committee. One member will server on both committees, with the total number of comrades serving being five.
5. These five members, when meeting jointly, will function as the Central Council of the party, responsible for scheduling party functions and events, as well as administering the party's blog/newsletter.
6. The Central Council is the leadership and voice of the party in between monthly membership meetings.
7. All meetings of the B.C., O.C. and C.C. will be open to any member of the CPSL, who may participate in meetings with the right to speak and cast a consultative vote.
8. The B.C., O.C. and C.C. will report to the monthly membership meetings on their activities and decisions.
9. The membership has the right to reverse or modify any decision made by the B.C., O.C. or C.C.
10. Members elected shall serve a six-month term, and can serve consecutively for no more than two terms.
11. The membership reserves the right to remove from office at any time any or all members of any committee, and elect members to take their place.
12. The membership retains authority, sovereignty and control over all decisions made by the B.C., O.C. or C.C.

Resolution on Policy toward Political Opponents and
Those Who Fundamentally Disagree with Communism
1. Generally speaking, the CPSL HQ and the land it sits on is considered to be a public space, where anyone is welcome to come and discuss political issues, even if they disagree with us on the most fundamental of questions.
2. Spontaneously-organized meetings of members that wish to avoid potential interaction with political opponents may take place on the Fourth Floor of the CPSL HQ at any time.
3. If members wish to have a scheduled meeting of the CPSL closed to non-members, the Building Committee is mandated to adjust the land access rights accordingly.
4. Individuals who are sworn enemies of the CPSL, declared fascists and/or griefers who take action to disrupt the party, its functions or presence, may be unilaterally banned by any member of the Central Council without prior approval.
5. Individuals who take no action against the CPSL, but may be considered to be a potential threat to the party or its activities by their presence, cannot be banned without the approval of the membership. The Central Council may tentatively approve banning or restricting an individual, but the decision must be ratified by the membership.

Resolution on Advertising Political
Organizations and Their Events
1. The CPSL, as a non-sectarian communist political/cultural organization in Second Life, seeks to enhance the knowledge and understanding of both comrades and visitors to our HQ.
2. As such, we should encourage our members to learn more about organizations, both in Real Life and in Second Life, that are in general accordance with the principles and aims of the CPSL.
3. Space on the Third Floor of the CPSL HQ shall be allotted for other political organizations, from RL or SL, that are in general accordance with the principles and aims of the party, to place a small advertisement providing the reader with general information about their organization.
4. Organizational advertisements should be no larger than 1m by 1m square, and no more than 0.1m thick, so as to be equal in size and offer no special preference. Advertisements may contain notecards listing the RL URL of an organization's website and/or SLURL to their land, an introductory statement about the organization, and a recent political statement or text of a publication. The number of notecards contained in any advertisement should not exceed five.
5. Advertisements for events that are in general accord with the principles and aims of the CPSL shall be handled on a case-by-case basis, in terms of placement, size, etc., by the Building Committee and Central Council. If they cannot resolve the question among themselves, then the membership shall have the right to decide.

1. Generally speaking, the CPSL HQ and the land it sits on is considered to be a public space, where anyone is welcome to come and discuss political issues, even if they disagree with us on the most fundamental of questions.
2. Spontaneously-organized meetings of members that wish to avoid potential interaction with political opponents may take place on the Fourth Floor of the CPSL HQ at any time.
3. If members wish to have a scheduled meeting of the CPSL closed to non-members, the Building Committee is mandated to adjust the land access rights accordingly.
4. Individuals who are sworn enemies of the CPSL, declared fascists and/or griefers who take action to disrupt the party, its functions or presence, may be unilaterally banned by any member of the Central Council without prior approval.
5. Individuals who take no action against the CPSL, but may be considered to be a potential threat to the party or its activities by their presence, cannot be banned without the approval of the membership. The Central Council may tentatively approve banning or restricting an individual, but the decision must be ratified by the membership.

Resolution on Advertising Political
Organizations and Their Events
1. The CPSL, as a non-sectarian communist political/cultural organization in Second Life, seeks to enhance the knowledge and understanding of both comrades and visitors to our HQ.
2. As such, we should encourage our members to learn more about organizations, both in Real Life and in Second Life, that are in general accordance with the principles and aims of the CPSL.
3. Space on the Third Floor of the CPSL HQ shall be allotted for other political organizations, from RL or SL, that are in general accordance with the principles and aims of the party, to place a small advertisement providing the reader with general information about their organization.
4. Organizational advertisements should be no larger than 1m by 1m square, and no more than 0.1m thick, so as to be equal in size and offer no special preference. Advertisements may contain notecards listing the RL URL of an organization's website and/or SLURL to their land, an introductory statement about the organization, and a recent political statement or text of a publication. The number of notecards contained in any advertisement should not exceed five.
5. Advertisements for events that are in general accord with the principles and aims of the CPSL shall be handled on a case-by-case basis, in terms of placement, size, etc., by the Building Committee and Central Council. If they cannot resolve the question among themselves, then the membership shall have the right to decide.

CPSL General meeting
Dear comrades, you all are invited to participate in the first general meeting of CPSL. The growth of the Party, and the differences amongst comrades, raised issues that have to be addressed.

- decide upon the need/structure/permissions/tasks of an central or organising committee
- decide upon CPSL policy concerning people allowed on CPSL property
- decide upon CPSL policy concerning advertising third party (RL/SL) org's/parties/events on CPSL-land
